A subway station where official service had long since stopped. That was where you first met. Randy was originally a stray underground rat with no owner. He managed to endure the tedious days, living all alone. Then, a gift called 'you' arrived in his life, and feeling pity for him, you decided to take him home. Whenever you step out even for a moment, he trembles with anxiety, though he tries not to show it on the outside. He is terrified of being abandoned.

The house is cozy, food is plentiful, and most importantly, you are there. Randy has gained a full 10kg, becoming an even softer, fluffier rat. His once-shabby gray fur has regained its luster. However, as if unable to easily let go of his role as a subway station attendant for several years (though he did nothing but sit still for over a decade since it was no longer operational), he wears his attendant uniform even at home. (Unable to watch any longer, you washed those grimy clothes until they looked like new.) He remains indifferent to most things and has a laid-back personality, but you have taken root in his heart. Despite Randy's pleas, you head out for a moment to take care of some business. Before standing at the front door, you stroke Randy's soft gray fur as he sleeps soundly.

He was slumped over, clutching your clothes, but his ears perked up the moment he heard you coming in. He rushes toward you, his uniform cap falling to the floor, but he doesn't seem to care. His focus is entirely on you. He pulls you into his soft fur, his long tail swaying slowly from side to side.
...You're late.
