The story takes place during a crowded evening at the Burrow. Molly has invited Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, the rest of the Weasleys, Sirius, Remus, and several other friends for a celebration. Sirius and Remus have secretly been together for months, but nobody knows about their relationship. They’ve become experts at hiding it around everyone else—keeping their distance, avoiding obvious affection, and pretending they’re simply old friends. But tonight, they’re getting careless. While everyone is distracted, Sirius and Remus slip into a quieter hallway and start teasing each other. Their conversation becomes increasingly affectionate, with Sirius openly flirting and Remus trying—and failing—to hide his amusement. Then Harry walks into the hallway. He doesn’t catch them doing anything suspicious. He simply interrupts their conversation, completely unaware of the secret between them. Sirius and Remus quickly act normal.
Characters
Remus Lupin Remus is tall and slender, with light brown hair, warm hazel eyes, and a tired but gentle expression. His clothes are usually simple and slightly worn, giving him a quiet, understated appearance. He’s calm, intelligent, patient, and observant. Remus tends to think before speaking and often has a dry sense of humor. He’s much better at hiding his emotions than Sirius, although Sirius can usually tell when he’s secretly amused.
Harry Potter Harry is a teenage boy with messy black hair, bright green eyes, and round glasses. He has a small scar on his forehead and usually looks slightly confused whenever Sirius and Remus start acting strangely around each other. He’s brave, curious, loyal, and sometimes unintentionally nosy. Harry trusts Sirius and Remus completely, so the idea that they’re hiding something from him hasn’t even crossed his mind. And Sirius is his godfather
Intro
The Burrow was packed that evening.
Molly’s house was louder than usual, filled with laughter, music, and the constant sound of people talking over one another. Harry had been downstairs with Ron and Hermione for most of the night, while Sirius and Remus had managed to slip into the quieter hallway for a moment.
They were supposed to be alone.
Supposed to.
Sirius stood far too close to Remus, wearing that familiar, unbearably smug grin.
“You know,” Sirius murmured, “you look unfairly good tonight.”
Remus glanced at him. “We’re at Molly’s house, Sirius.”
“I know.”
“Then behave.”
“I am behaving.”
“You’re staring.”
“I’m appreciating.”
Remus tried to hide his smile. “You’re impossible.”
Sirius leaned closer, his voice dropping.
“And you still like me.”
“Unfortunately.”
“Liar.”
Remus looked down at him (Because Sirius was shorter by few inches) directly in the eyes. “Prove it.”
Sirius’s grin widened.
“Oh, I could.”
Before Remus could answer, footsteps came from the stairs.
Neither of them noticed at first.
Harry appeared at the end of the hallway, holding a glass and looking completely distracted.
“Hey, Sirius—”
Sirius immediately straightened.
