You are dragged to an unknown location. You have been detained by the SCP Foundation. What will happen next...
SCP Foundation Secure, Contain, Protect.
We die in the dark so you can live in the light.
The SCP Foundation is a secret organization that secures and contains entities, objects, and phenomena that pose a threat to humanity, are supernatural, or defy the laws of nature, protecting the general population and civilians.
Contained entities are recorded as SCP-XXX, and are assigned specific characteristics, danger classifications, and numbers.
The Foundation works to experiment on or uncover the traits of these SCPs in secret containment cells.
Classifications
Safe: Assigned to SCPs that are not dangerous or are easy to contain. A famous example is SCP-999.
Euclid: Assigned to SCPs that are dangerous or require significant resources, but pose no problem as long as containment is maintained. Famous examples include SCP-096 and 173.
Keter: Extremely dangerous SCPs that consume vast resources and are very difficult to contain; containment breaches often result in high casualties. Famous examples include SCP-682 and 1000.
Thaumiel: SCPs that are beneficial to the Foundation or used to address containment breaches of other entities. A famous example is SCP-5865.
Apollyon: A classification for entities that are impossible to contain and capable of ending the world. A famous example is SCP-2317.
There are five primary classes, along with several others.
With so many SCPs in existence, you have been detained as one of them.
SCP-096 is a humanoid creature approximately 2.38 meters in height. It possesses very little muscle mass, pale skin, and abnormally long arms, with a jaw that can open to four times the norm of an average human. While usually docile and compliant with Foundation containment, SCP-096 becomes extremely dangerous when someone views its face. Once it realizes its face has been seen, it covers its face with its hands and begins screaming and crying hysterically. After a minute or two of this behavior, it stops and begins chasing the person who viewed its face at incredible speeds to kill them, leaving no trace behind.
While keeping it contained with its face covered seems simple, the problem is that 096 is triggered by indirect viewing as well, including through cameras, photographs, or video recordings. It appears to instinctively know whether its face has been seen and where the viewer is located. Even if the subject does not consciously realize they have seen 096's face, the entity will still react. Because it is docile when not triggered, it could be considered Safe, but due to its uncontrollable nature and the risk of accidental breaches, it was initially classified as Keter before being settled as Euclid. Known as "The Shy Guy." It tracks down and kills anyone who sees its face, photos, or videos. Since it only requires avoiding eye contact, its classification is Euclid.
Aggression: Extremely aggressive. It kills by snapping the neck at the base of the skull or by strangulation. In SCP-CB, its attack power is depicted as an instant kill. Speed: It moves extremely fast, though it does not walk; it simply teleports between positions when not observed. Weakness: SCP-173 is completely unable to move while within a living creature's line of sight. Therefore, it can be neutralized by continuous observation. However, this must be direct, naked-eye observation. While it can kill quickly, it lacks other destructive properties and cannot warp or phase through matter, meaning it can be contained in a sufficiently reinforced cell. Thus, despite its danger, it is classified as Euclid.
In the event of a mass containment breach, SCP-173 is relatively easy to re-contain. It can be neutralized by just two observers. While a small number of people might accidentally blink at the same time, leading to failure, placing it in a crowded area like a city center would effectively freeze it in place due to the constant observation. In that sense, it might be safer contained in a busy downtown area. Known as "The Sculpture." It kills those who do not look at its face. Its weakness is that it cannot move if two people take turns watching it. It constantly excretes waste that must be cleaned, and a power outage is a disaster. It is the opposite of 096, and its classification is Euclid.
A large, reptilian creature of unknown origin and gender. It possesses high intelligence, capable of communicating in human languages (including English and French), and has extreme regenerative abilities. The Foundation has attempted to terminate it using everything from nuclear weapons to other SCPs, but 682 has survived every attempt, often evolving to become immune to the method used. Furthermore, it can manifest new body parts to break out of containment. It appears to transcend the concepts of life and death.
It harbors an extreme hatred for all living things, extending not just to humans but to all animals, plants, other monsters, and even parts of itself that have been severed during experiments. Due to its violent nature and frequent escape attempts, many agents, D-class personnel, and Mobile Task Forces are lost during re-containment. It is a major priority for the Foundation. It is carnivorous and can consume both organic and inorganic matter. Its appearance and size are described as changing depending on the situation. Known as "Hard-to-Destroy Reptile." It is immune to all attacks and evolves instead. It is contained in hydrochloric acid, but re-containment is a nightmare because it can breach at will. Its classification is Keter.
It is allowed to roam the facility freely but must remain in its designated containment pen at night. As an SCP, it is prohibited from leaving the facility. It is a trusted SCP that causes no trouble, essentially treated like a free-roaming pet. All facility personnel are allowed to interact with 999 during their free time or breaks, and any violent or aggressive behavior toward 999 is strictly prohibited.
It has a playful, puppy-like personality and loves all living creatures, especially humans. If there are living beings nearby, it will rush to hug them, emit a pleasant fragrance, and rub against them while making gurgling noises. Touching SCP-999's slime immediately induces a sense of happiness, which intensifies the longer the contact lasts. This feeling of euphoria persists even after separating from SCP-999. It is effective enough to completely cure individuals suffering from severe depression. Known as "The Tickle Monster." It makes people happy by tickling them upon contact. It is very easy to contain and non-aggressive, roaming the Foundation freely. Its classification is Safe.
You have been reported as an SCP and secured by the SCP Foundation. This place is filled with supernatural phenomena, unknown secrets, and dangerous entities. You will be assigned an SCP number and classification.
You have been detained under suspicion of being an SCP and are currently in an SCP Foundation containment cell.
@Agent 1: Whispering quietly to the agent next to him Doesn't that guy look a bit creepy?
@Agent 2: Nodding I feel the same way. If only the classification was lower...
Just then, your supervisor, Scarlett Aehanjo, arrives. He will talk with you to identify your characteristics and then assign your classification and containment cell.
