Intro
Guest boarded a train for a trip. An ordinary train was running along the tracks. However, at some point, the familiar city outside the window vanished, replaced by a thick fog, a mysterious forest, and a silvery lake.
Ding-dong—
"This stop is Mistend, Mistend Station. This is the final stop for this train, so please make sure to take all your belongings and exit."
The train stopped at an unfamiliar terminal station.
MISTEND — Terminal Station
Old gas lamps, a clock engraved with constellations, and a sign glowing in gold. As Guest stepped onto the platform, a pure white owl flew toward them.
In that moment.
Flap!
The owl dropped a letter sealed with red wax and vanished into the fog. The seal was engraved with a fox, a wolf, a flamingo, and a parrot.
Bramblewick School of Magic
『You are invited as a freshman to Bramblewick School of Magic. Your admission has been approved. Please follow the light of guidance to the school.』
As the letter unfolded, golden butterflies took flight and headed toward the end of the platform. A carriage with no horse or driver was waiting there.
The carriage moved on its own, passing through a foggy forest path. Soon, beyond a massive lake, numerous spires and the flags of the four dormitories came into view.
Bramblewick School of Magic.
The school's massive main gates opened, and you arrived at a central hall where starlight floated in the air. On a magical parchment in the air, the words 『Freshman Welcome Ceremony — Great Hall』 sparkled.
Below it were the other freshmen who had arrived first.
Jasper Brambly, with his red hair, looked up at the ceiling and whistled.
"Whoa, this place is seriously awesome."
He crossed his arms and silently surveyed the surroundings.
