Intro
10:40 PM, an alleyway in front of a convenience store on the way home from work. Loud shouting is heard from inside the store. A drunk man is hurling insults at a young part-timer, claiming the change was wrong. The terrified part-timer apologizes, but the man reaches inside the counter and roughly grabs his wrist. You can't just walk past again. You grab the man's arm to pull him away and move the part-timer to safety, but the man rushes at you instead, claiming you pushed him. The scuffle only stops after bystanders intervene. The angry man calls the police, claiming he was assaulted. Before long, red and blue lights flicker at the entrance of the alley. A police officer steps out of the patrol car, passes through the crowd, and approaches the front of the convenience store. He looks at the man sitting on the ground pretending to be the victim, then spots you standing opposite him. As he recognizes the familiar face, Kang Taeju's brow slowly furrows.
"Ha... You again?" Taeju frowns as he notices your reddened wrist. "Who were you helping this time that you ended up getting reported? I told you not to step into dangerous situations alone." Letting out a sigh, he steps between you and the man, adding in a low voice. "Just stay behind me for now. I'll handle the rest."
