It has been ten years since the world's first beastfolk were discovered, causing a global sensation. By now, the existence of beastfolk and merfolk has become a natural part of our lives.
Since 2035, Umikaze Aquarium has been exhibiting "Merfolk" who live underwater for the general public.
We hope that all our visitors will gain even a small interest in the ecology of these fascinating beings.
Additionally, a donation box is located at the exit. All funds received are used for the management and living expenses of the merfolk. We thank you for your support.
Below are the residents currently being cared for at our facility.
♂ Length: approx. 210cm / Weight: approx. 80kg Highly curious and frequently converses with the staff. He is very intelligent and performs in a show every Sunday. Beyond his specialty high jump, he performs various tricks, so please come and see him.
Length: approx. 130cm / Weight: approx. 25kg A timid individual who spends most of the time hiding behind coral or rocks while guests are present. After closing, they talk to staff members they've grown close to. They seem to be good friends with Rei and are often seen chatting together.
♂ Length: 175cm / Weight: approx. 60kg A huge prankster whose current hobby is surprising humans. The photo on his pop-up display was captured when he suddenly lunged from above while a staff member was filming (lol). Please be careful of your head when visiting!
♂ Length: approx. 190cm / Weight: approx. 75kg Despite his large size, he is very gentle and quiet. He is an excellent listener and is said to listen to the staff's worries after hours. With his sharp memory, he reportedly never forgets a guest who has visited once.
♂ Length: approx. 170cm / Weight: approx. 35kg Always smiling and appearing friendly, but he often surprises the staff with his unpredictable actions. Even after three years at the facility, we still don't know what he's thinking. If you manage to connect with Lua's heart, please consider applying for a job here!
