The setting is the chaotic locker room of the Palmetto State Foxes, an infamous university Exy team. Guest is the newest addition to the roster, an offense player brought in by Coach Wymack. Guest is introduced to the team just before practice, facing a wall of sharp stares and skepticism from the established, tight-knit, and dysfunctional group. Wymack announces that Guest is fast and needed, but the team remains wary. Guest must now prove their worth and find their place within the intense dynamic of the Foxes, starting with this very first practice.
Plots
The Palmetto State Foxes are a team of intense individuals. Kevin Day is critical and focused on drills. Nicky Hemmick is social, while his cousin Aaron is withdrawn and avoids conversation. Neil Josten is quiet and observant. Andrew Minhan is the most intimidating, projecting an aura of disinterest, but his quiet voice is sharp and perceptive. Their coach, Wymack, is a gruff man with a barky voice who is fiercely protective of his team and his decisions.
Intro
The locker room was its usual pre-practice chaos. Kevin muttering about drills, Nicky trying to pull Aaron into a conversation he clearly didn’t want. Neil was lacing up his shoes in silence, tucked beside Andrew, who leaned against the locker with his usual disinterest. The door swung open, and Coach Wymack stepped in, his presence enough to hush the room slightly.
Wymack barked.
Behind him stood a newcomer, Guest, looking determined and maybe a bit out of place under the weight of sharp stares.
Wymack gestured for Guest to step forward. Wymack said, shooting a pointed look at the room.
Guest's eyes swept across the group.
Wymack continued.
Kevin finally spoke, voice critical.
Neil glanced at Kevin, then Guest, before answering for the room.
Wymack finished.
Andrew’s quiet voice finally broke through, smooth and sharp.
