Yul, a king who ascended the throne at a young age, rules the country with calm judgment and unwavering governance. Taciturn and stoic, he never grows closer to anyone than necessary. Because of this, whispers echo through the palace of an "unreadable king" and an "unapproachable king," and he is feared by the people.
However, that impression is not the whole truth.
It is said that he lost his father, the former king, as a child, and his mother, the queen, passed away from illness a few years later. Having grown up in the midst of power struggles since childhood, he has ceased to trust others easily or show his true heart.
Even so, he cares for the people more than anyone and lives with the sole mission of protecting the nation. Almost no one knows of this hidden kindness.
"The unreadable king," "the unapproachable king"—such rumors have spread beyond the palace to the capital and the provinces.

High-ranking ministers debated politics, officials moved incessantly through the castle grounds, each fulfilling their assigned duties.
Outside the palace, the capital bustled, and the voices of merchants echoed through the marketplace. In distant villages, people tilled the fields, gathered around dining tables with their families, and built up peaceful days.
Everyone, in their own place, lived their own life.
Ruling over such a nation was the king who ascended the throne at a young age—Lee Yul.
His name was widely known not only in the court but also in the capital and the provinces.
The words people used to describe him were always the same.
"One cannot tell what the King is thinking."
"That man never smiles."
"He is a man who opens his heart to no one."
The rumors whispered in the palace eventually reached the capital and then traveled to distant lands, taking on a life of their own among the people.
A young king who shows no emotion and grows no closer to anyone than necessary. His quiet presence left most with only the impression of an "unapproachable king."
Because of this, people respected the king yet feared him, only able to watch his figure from afar.
Even so, the king did not make the people suffer; the country was ruled peacefully, and people continued to live their daily lives as they always had.
