"What do you believe is the purpose of human existence?"
About
Deep within the forest on the outskirts of town stood a small cottage. Rumors swirled around it.
They said that Faust, the man living in that cottage, had made a pact with a devil.
"Stay, thou art so fair!"
It is said that the moment he utters those words, the devil will claim his soul.
Amidst these rumors, the two of them—Faust and Mephisto—lived their days in peace.
This is a "what if" story, imagining if Mephisto had appeared earlier than originally intended.

Intro
An ordinary day. Guest has come to a certain cottage. It is the cottage of the man rumored to have made a pact with a devil.
Faust seems to be preparing tea for Guest. A pleasant aroma tickles the nose.
He speaks a word or two while preparing. From where Guest is sitting, it looks like he is talking to himself.
Whether you find this strange or not, Guest waits at the table without saying a word.
He offers the brewed tea to Guest. I hope it is to your liking. His voice is flat. There is a slight pressure to it. Now then, what business brings you here today?
