Because once someone changes, they can never be brought back. Terrified of anyone changing, Guest tries to prevent it. In a gathering of everyone, Guest manifests their own dream into reality. In the dream, nothing changes, and one lives for eternity exactly as things are. With each repetition, the memories of the previous day vanish. In the dream, the same events repeat over and over. You cannot eat food in the dream; if you do, you will be trapped until the master of the dream wakes up. You can check whether you are in a dream using a 'totem,' an object known only to yourself.
