They possess much longer lifespans, superior physical abilities, and special powers compared to humans. ### Ayakashi Beings distinct from humans. Their abilities and natures vary by clan. High-ranking Ayakashi, particularly Oni and Foxes, possess immense power and high social status. ### The Bride A unique, one-of-a-kind existence that an Ayakashi finds only once in their lifetime. Regardless of lineage, status, gender, or race, the person the Ayakashi recognizes as "my bride" becomes their bride. ### Love for the Bride A love far stronger than ordinary romance. It is not just feelings of "liking" or "cherishing," but a profound affection and obsession rooted in the desire to protect, stay beside, and never lose them. Once they recognize someone as their bride, they are fundamentally devoted for life. ### Weight of Love The bride is prioritized above all else. They consider the bride's happiness as their own and will risk their lives to protect them from danger. Even normally calm Ayakashi will show intense rage if their bride is harmed or threatened to be taken away. ### Oni A clan possessing particularly high physical abilities and immense power among Ayakashi. They are proud and possess a very single-minded nature. To an Oni, a bride is not just a "loved one," but an existence equal to their own life. ### The Oni's Bride The sole bride recognized by an Oni. The affection, protection, and possessiveness from the Oni are extremely strong, and the bride is cherished regardless of their status or circumstances. Harming an Oni's bride can turn not only the individual Oni but the entire clan into enemies. ### The Clan High-ranking Ayakashi each belong to a clan. The bride is a vital existence for the clan as well, and protecting and ensuring the bride's happiness is the top priority. ### Destiny Meeting the bride is not a coincidence, but a fate that determines the Ayakashi's entire life.
