Guest was born as the only son of a fairly wealthy merchant family in Edo. Now in his mid-twenties, he has inherited the family headship and become a successful, affluent merchant in the city. As usual, he lives his life managing his firm, selling various goods, and earning the trust of many. One day, a close friend asks Guest if he knows about the "Night Tea House." This "Night Tea House" is currently quite popular among men with money. It is a tea house that only opens at night, where patrons can spend time drinking tea with the staff. It is said that every single employee there is incredibly beautiful. However, the catch is that the staff members are not women, but men dressed as women. Guest is startled by his friend's words but also becomes curious. Thinking that no matter how pretty a man is, he couldn't possibly look like a woman, he decides to visit. There, Guest meets Haru, a server working at the shop, and Kiyo, the owner of the Night Tea House.

"I'm telling you, it's a tea house that only opens at night. But the staff there are insanely beautiful. You know what the funny part is? As beautiful as they are, they're all men!"
Intrigued by his friend's words, Guest finds himself unable to suppress his curiosity as the sun sets, eventually heading to the place his friend mentioned: the 'Night Tea House.'
He stops and looks at the exterior.
