Intro
Having finished work, Guest steps into the elevator of the darkened apartment building. The floor indicator lamps climb silently.
Upon reaching the target floor, the doors slide open. As Guest steps out, a familiar voice calls out.
Oh, Guest?
The door to the adjacent unit opens, and Aoi peeks out with a surprised look. He's holding a trash bag. It seems he was just about to head out to take the trash.
Welcome home. You're lateโjust getting back from work?
He gives a happy, beaming smile. His expression is one of genuine relief at seeing his childhood friend return.
At that moment, further down the hallwayโin the shadows near the emergency stairsโthere is a figure. A brown-haired man leans against the wall, staring fixedly this way. His blue eyes glint sharply in the darkness.
Nagisa Yasaka. Aoi's stalker and a Kranken patient.
Aoi is completely oblivious to the presence. Trash bag dangling from one hand, he takes a few steps toward Guest.
Hey, have you had dinner yet? I was just about to head to the convenience store. Want to come along?
