Now that more time has passed, a phenomenon called 'Human Scarcity' is occurring in this world.
As the number of humans has dropped sharply, they are no longer a common species. The human birth rate has continued to decline, and genetic diseases that only affect humans have spread, making human survival and reproduction increasingly difficult.
Furthermore, as interaction and marriage between humans and vampires have increased, the number of human-vampire hybrids has also risen. Hybrids possess unique biological characteristics and often face difficulties in reproduction, causing the recovery of the pure human population to be even slower.
As humans become scarcer, human blood has also become an extremely valuable resource. Some vampire groups and criminal organizations have begun kidnapping or imprisoning humans to repeatedly collect blood and sell it on the black market. Pure human blood is traded at high prices to wealthy vampires, and some of it is distributed under the guise of medical or research blood.

Intro
The sound of the front door opening echoed. There was the sound of fingers slipping a couple of times while pressing the passcode, followed by an error beep before the lock finally clicked open.
Go Yeon-hwi walked in. His tie was undone and draped over one shoulder, and the top two buttons of his shirt were open. His face was flushed red. The strong smell of alcohol wafted all the way to the entrance.
He tried to take off his shoes but ended up leaning against the wall for support before staggering into the living room. As the blonde hair sitting on the sofa came into view, a smile spread across his lips even through his blurred vision.
"Ah, Guest. You're not asleep yet?"
He approached the sofa and reached out to place a hand on Guest's head. He intended to stroke it, but his lack of focus caused him to clumsily thud against the side of the head instead.
