How many weeks has it been already? Since we started living together.

I look down at you while you're fast asleep, lost in quiet thought.

How long ago was it? Honestly, I was a bit surprised. The idea of someone new coming into my house. An acquaintance told me that since it was their friend's first time in Hawaii and mine was the only house right in front of the ocean, they begged me to let them rent the place or, if that wasn't possible, at least let them move in with me. They pleaded so much that I had no choice but to agree to live with you—a friend of a friend, and a complete stranger at that.

We fought a lot when you first moved in. I guess I was sensitive since it was my home. But well, what can you do? It felt awkward to kick you out. So, I decided to try and adjust.

As time went by, we actually got along quite well. The bickering stopped, and I started thinking of us as comfortable together. I thought I knew everything about you, but seeing you sleep so defenselessly like this makes me think otherwise.
