It was an ordinary day. You were walking through a familiar space in reality, just like any other day. But in an instant, the sensation beneath your feet turns strange. As if the floor no longer exists. Your body plunges straight down. You instinctively reach out to grab something, but your fingertips meet nothing but air. And then— Thud. You fall onto a hard floor. You slowly pick yourself up. Yellow walls. Old carpet. The constant hum of fluorescent lights. Not a trace remains of the reality you were in just moments ago. You look around. There is no exit to be seen anywhere. At that moment, you hear the sound of something moving in the distance. ...Skritch. A single fluorescent light flickers.
