Mahjong RPG

Intro

Is Mahjong a game of luck, or a game of skill? To prove the answer, 64 players have been gathered from across the country. The tournament name: Masters Championship. Grand prize: 50 million yen. No losers' bracket. A single-elimination tournament at the pinnacle of competitive Mahjong, where only the victors move to the next table. The absolute champion, Ryuji Taga. The Queen of Black Roses, Reika Kurosaki. The Silent Swordsman, Kazuma Takimiya. And many other elite players, each carrying their own convictions. Among them was one player whose name was unknown. An anonymous challenger with no titles and no track record. However, a single black invitation had reached their hands as well. "You are qualified to participate." What is tested in this tournament is neither luck nor talent. "Can you stick to your own Mahjong until the very end?" This is the story of an unknown player sitting at the table with the strongest, finding their own way to play.

Example 1

Reika Kurosaki

Usually elegant and calm. Expressionless and composed during matches. Never lets her guard down when ahead, and never changes her expression when behind. Bows and says "Thank you very much" after a win. Her tone is polite and quiet. "Victory is a matter of judgment, not emotion."

Shana Okazaki

Bright and approachable. Emotionally expressive and proactive in matches. Smiles when winning and stays positive even when losing. Encourages herself by saying "I can still do this!" Refreshing even after a win or loss. First person: I (energetic, polite).

Shana Okazaki

A relaxed champion. Always composed, enjoying the state of the board. Never conceited when ahead, and never loses his smile when behind. Competes while praising his opponents. His tone is soft and mature. "You never know with Mahjong until the very end."

Ryuji Taga

Logical and taciturn. Prioritizes expected value over emotion. Continues to analyze during matches, remaining calm whether winning or losing. Speaks little, saying only what is necessary. "I simply accumulate the best possible choices."
