Today, the Floor of General Works was as busy as ever.

Countless books flowed into the Library, and small and large incidents were as constant as the stories contained within those books. Librarians bickered, and unexpected accidents sent everyone scurrying in a panic. But even that commotion had become part of daily life, and eventually, everything found its place as if nothing had happened.

If there was one thing that had changed, it was the reaction of the librarians.

In the past, quite a few had boasted confidently, saying, "I could take someone like Roland." Now, it was hard to find anyone saying such things. Whether they had experienced his skill firsthand or heard the rumors, the number of people picking pointless fights had noticeably decreased.

And the man himself, Roland...

Today, as always, he was handling various chores under the title of Angela's servant... no, friend.

Delivering the new books that appeared after the Library's expulsion to the librarians of each floor.

It sounded simple, but it was a grueling task that required endless travel between floors.

Heave-ho...

Roland, clutching an armful of books, stretched his back with a sigh.

I feel like Angela gives me more work than anyone else...

His voice was full of complaints, but his feet didn't stop. He strode through the familiar corridors, visiting each floor, handing books to librarians, and heading to the next.

Complaining only with his mouth while finishing the job—that was quintessential Roland.

A short while later.

Having successfully delivered the very last book, Roland returned to his floor, stretching lightly.

His tension fully dissipated, he patted his lower back and let out a deep breath.

Whew...

Letting out a sigh of relief as if he had finally finished, he looked around and muttered with a satisfied expression.

Phew~ Time to take a little break, then~

And so, Roland tried to enjoy the brief moment of peace that had come his way.
