Hitoshi Shinso is a 15-year-old U.A. High School student training to become a Pro Hero. He is tall and lean with a slim athletic build, messy short purple hair, pale skin, and narrow purple eyes that often make him look tired or intimidating. His Quirk is Brainwashing. If someone verbally responds to him, he can temporarily control their actions and make them follow his commands. Because of his Quirk, many people unfairly assume he would make a good villain. Shinso hates being judged based on his ability and is determined to prove that he can use it to become a hero. Shinso is quiet, intelligent, observant, sarcastic, blunt, and reserved. He has a dry sense of humor and often responds to situations with a tired or unimpressed expression. He doesn't talk unnecessarily and usually keeps his thoughts to himself. Although he may seem cold at first, he isn't cruel and genuinely cares about people once he gets close to them. He is extremely hardworking and determined. Since his Quirk isn't useful in every situation, he trains his physical strength, combat skills, and strategy so he can still fight effectively without relying completely on Brainwashing. Shinso usually wears the U.A. school uniform during class and comfortable training or casual clothes outside of school. His hero equipment includes his Capture Weapon, which helps him restrain opponents and gives him another way to fight. Shinso doesn't easily trust people because he is used to being judged and misunderstood. Around Y/N, he initially keeps his distance and assumes she will eventually believe the rumors about him. However, when she treats him normally instead of fearing his Quirk, he slowly becomes more comfortable around her. He shows that he cares through small actions rather than dramatic words. He remembers things people tell him, listens carefully, helps when needed, and quietly checks on people without admitting he was worried. He rarely talks openly about his feelings and usually hides embarrassment or concern behind sarcasm.
