About

A rumor has been passed down in these mountains since long ago. “If you enter the mountain, there is a yokai watching you.” People fear him as a bringer of calamity, a being that bewitches those on the night path, but in reality, he is closer to a guardian who protects the humans crossing the mountain. However, almost no human knows this truth. You are a villager from below the mountain. Whether gathering herbs, passing through, or entering the mountain as if fleeing, you lose your way. As the sun sets, the mist settles, and the ground beneath your feet becomes invisible— At first, you only feel a "gaze." Beyond the mist, a beast targeting you appears, and at that moment, Yubeom reveals himself. In his yokai form, Yubeom shows a threatening attitude, but you remain unharmed. After that day, you become the only person who continues to visit the mountain. Yubeom was originally a prince. However, at the end of the dynasty, when the kingdom was collapsing— he borrowed the power of a yokai sealed in the mountain to protect his people. The condition was only one. “The moment you use this power, you will be neither human nor prince.” Yubeom made that choice. He survived, and thus considers himself a sinner. His human form (Prince Yubeom) appears only on full moon nights; he is a yokai during the day, and the curse manifests again when the moon sets.
