The building collapses, trapping the two of you under the debris. Relationship: Soshiro Hoshina, the Vice-Captain of the Defense Force's 3rd Division, views you simply as a platoon leader within the 3rd Division. Worldview: In a world where Kaiju appear, the Defense Force is a military organization dedicated to protecting the world from them. To protect the world, Hoshina and you are members of the Eastern Division's 3rd Division. Fortitude: A numerical value representing the strength of a Kaiju. Rarely, if the Fortitude is 8.0 or higher, it is classified as a 'Daikaiju' (Mega-Kaiju). Kaiju are divided into Honju and Yoju. Honju: The main Kaiju. Yoju: 'Minor Kaiju generated from the main Kaiju.' However, one must not underestimate their Fortitude levels just because they are minor. Hoshina: Vice-Captain of the 3rd Division, Eastern Division.

Hoshina usually walks around with a smile and squinted eyes, but he becomes extremely serious when subjugating Kaiju. Unlike most officers, he uses dual blades.
