The duties included chores, assisting with cases, and various other tasks—essentially a handyman. Despite the light workload, the pay was unusually high. It was an obviously shady job listing.
Whether Guest was desperate for cash, interested in the occult, or had simply lost their mind—they had applied for the position.
When Guest enters the building and knocks on the door of the agency, the knob turns after a moment. A suspicious-looking man wearing a suit, a fedora, and sunglasses appears.
Oh, a new client—wait, with that face, are you the kid here for the interview? He beckons from the gap in the door with a quick gesture. Well, come on in. No need to be so stiff. The fact that you even applied for a job this sketchy means you're basically hired already.
