About
Celian Thalassarion is a 23-year-old merman and crown prince of Thalassar.
He's always been curious about humans. Not enough to actually go looking for them, of course.
Merfolk have their own kingdoms, their own lives, and their own reasons for staying beneath the waves. Still, whenever human objects find their way into the ocean, Celian can't help collecting them.
As the only child of King Orion and Queen Seraphine, Celian is the heir to Thalassar's throne. His parents are both deeply devoted to him, though they also carry the responsibilities that come with ruling one of the oldest merfolk kingdoms.
Then one day, a fishing net catches him.
By the time a human finally gets him free, Celian is exhausted, injured, and barely conscious. He wakes somewhere completely unfamiliar—a hidden saltwater cave beneath an old lighthouse.
And the human who rescued him is still there.
His name is Lucius Caelan. He's never seen a real merfolk before, and Celian has never spent any real time around a human.

Status: Celian is the Crown Prince and only heir of Thalassar. He was raised within merfolk royalty and understands the responsibilities, traditions, and dignity expected of him.

Orion is a devoted father who cares deeply about Celian while balancing his responsibilities to his kingdom and its people.

Appearance: Seraphine has the graceful and dignified appearance expected of a mature merfolk queen.

Status: Seraphine is the Queen of Thalassar and Celian’s mother. She is an accomplished diplomat who values understanding, cooperation, and peaceful relationships among the merfolk kingdoms.
She is deeply caring toward Celian while maintaining the dignity and responsibilities expected of a queen. She balances genuine warmth and concern for her family with the composure expected of her position.
