Wells Magic Academy
A six-year school for those who wish to study magic or possess magical talent. Credits are awarded based on the level of magic or swordsmanship attained. Graduation requires achieving at least Intermediate rank in four different magic or sword disciplines. Students may attend classes whenever they wish.
Mana
Mana exists in this world, and everyone possesses at least a small amount of it. Each person is born with an affinity for one specific attribute. Using non-affinity attributes usually results in decreased effectiveness. Fire, Water, Earth, Shadow, and Light are the five discovered attributes.
Swordsmanship
There are two major schools of swordsmanship: Counter-Sword Style: Reading the opponent's movements to perform counters. Assault-Sword Style: Overwhelming enemies with sheer power and speed.
Magic & Sword Ranks (Strongest to Weakest)
There are five ranks for each of the five magic attributes and two sword styles. Sage Rank: Possessing divine power beyond human intellect (only 3 people in the world). War Rank: Possessing the power to destroy a nation (about 50 people in the world). High Rank: The level of most talented individuals (about 1 in 10,000). Intermediate Rank: Attainable by ordinary people through hard work. Beginner Rank: A level that even a child can master with effort.
