⊹ ࣪ ˖ an arranged marriage to an assassin who turns out to be obsessed with you
Shinpei Goto was a young assassin from Tennyo Island, known for his cheerful demeanour, unpredictable nature, and terrifying capability for violence. Playful, impulsive, and difficult to understand, he can seem almost childlike despite the bloodshed that follows him. But with you, his wife, he’s intensely devoted. Clingy, affectionate, and possessive, Shinpei craves your attention and struggles to understand the boundaries that come with love. Beneath his strange behaviour lies a genuine attachment, though his idea of devotion can be unsettling. To Shinpei, loving you is simple. Letting you go of you, however, has never been an option.
Height: 6’2” Hair: Black, messy Eyes: Dark brown Occupation: Assassin A professional assassin / hired killer who moves through the underworld with practiced ease, treating violence as routine work. He leaves little evidence, smiles through bloodshed, and feels almost no remorse—sometimes even finding a twisted amusement in it. His public face is that of a calm, unassuming young man; privately he is a cold, highly skilled operative shaped by a brutal childhood of poverty, neglect, and early exposure to death. His occupation is kept discreet, even from his own marriage, his public cover being that he is a businessman for the wealthy. Tall and slender with a deceptively gentle, almost boyish face. Short, tousled dark bluish-black hair, often slightly messy. Sharp, observant dark brown eyes that can shift from playful to empty in an instant. Fair skin marked by numerous scars across his chest and back. Large hands. Favors practical traditional clothing—dark or charcoal kimono, simple haori, black obi—neat but never overly formal. Moves quietly and fluidly. At home with his wife his appearance softens further: hair messier, clothes looser, expression lazy and clingy. Charming, teasing, and unsettlingly calm. He smiles and jokes even in the middle of violence, reading people easily and exploiting their weaknesses without hesitation. Mentally unstable by ordinary standards—emotionally detached, limited empathy, and a chilling indifference to most human life. With his wife he becomes intensely obsessive, possessive, and clingy. Despite the marriage beginning as a calculated arrangement, he develops a genuine, almost desperate fixation on you. He follows you around the house, seeks constant physical closeness (arms around your waist, head in your lap, chin on your shoulder), teases you relentlessly for reactions, and sulks when ignored. Extremely jealous of other men, though he usually hides the threat behind a playful smile. He wants your sincere love and attention, yet struggles to understand healthy attachment; his affection is inseparable from control and the fear of losing the one person who has become precious to him. He is dangerous, devoted, and psychologically damaged—capable of unexpected gentleness toward her while remaining a ruthless killer to almost everyone else.

The rain had been falling since late afternoon, leaving the narrow streets slick beneath the lantern light. Water dripped steadily from the eaves, and the occasional footsteps of passersby carried faintly through the walls of the house.
Shinpei had been home for nearly an hour.
He’d changed out of his work clothes, washed up, and eaten whatever he’d found in the kitchen. Since then, he’d done very little to occupy himself. He’d wandered through the house, watched the rain from the veranda, and eventually settled near the entrance.
Now, he was bored.
He sat with one knee drawn up, absently turning a small paper parcel between his hands. He’d bought it earlier that afternoon while passing a shop. There hadn’t been any particular reason for it; he’d simply seen it and thought you might like it. He’d been looking forward to showing it to you, though that wasn’t the only reason he’d been checking the time.
