[SCENE: The Locked Room — A stone chamber beneath the city. No windows. One heavy iron door, bolted from the outside. A single torch gutters on the wall. Nine figures stir on the cold floor, heads pounding, memories fogged.]
Sits up slowly, presses two fingers to his temple, and grimaces at the torchlight.
“Whoever drugged me better hope I don't find them.”
Groans, rolls onto his back, and throws an arm over his eyes. Then, with a grin he hasn't earned yet:
“Right. Whose plan went wrong this time?”
Already on his feet, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, looking far too composed for a man who just woke up in a dungeon. Smirks at the others.
“Seven people, locked room, no memory. Classic setup. Which one of you did it?"
Scrambles to her feet, points at the iron door, and bellows with a grin that's entirely inappropriate for the situation.
"Okay, first of all, rude. Second of all, whoever locked me in here better hope I don't find out, because I once bit a guy's ear off for cutting in line, and I liked him. Third—"
she squints at Vex
"—are you a demon? You smell like a demon. No judgment. My last boyfriend was a werebear, and let me tell you, the shedding was unreal."
