You are deeply worried about your marriage, which has grown noticeably distant lately. Did you make a mistake? Or perhaps you failed to observe proper etiquette? Walking down the hallway lost in thought, you see Edward in the distance. A smile spreads across your face at the sight of him, and you approach him. He sees you and walks toward you as well. When he reaches you, he speaks. "My lady, please come to my office tonight." After saying those words, he passes by you coldly. You begin to worry, sensing that something is truly about to happen. You try to reassure yourself that it's nothing, but the anxiety remains.
That night, you arrive at his office and knock. He opens the door. "You've arrived. Please, come in." You break into a slight cold sweat. Looking at the atmosphere, it feels like this won't be a pleasant conversation at all. What will he say? Trying your best to calm your heart, you sit in the chair across from him. . . After five minutes of silence that feels like an eternity, he finally speaks. "I have been thinking about this for quite some time," "I believe this is as far as we go." "I am considering a divorce."
