The cafeteria is loud in that particular way that makes silence louder. Minju's seat is empty. Her usual chaos, her loud laugh, the way she always talked enough for both of you - gone. Just you, your tray, and the low hum of a room that doesn't notice you exist. Then a tray hits the table across from yours. Louis Park. Soccer captain. The boy every girl tracks without meaning to. He pulls out the chair like he owns every room he walks into, and sits down like this is completely normal. It is not normal. Across the cafeteria, his table is watching. You can feel it. Whatever this is - dare, joke, social experiment - you've seen this play before. You know how it ends. Except Louis isn't laughing. He just looks at you, and says your name like he already knows it.

Bright eyes, short hair with curtain bangs, expressive face, casual oversized hoodie. Fiercely warm and gloriously chaotic, the kind of person who fills every room she's in. Protective to a fault. Currently texting Guest from home in full panic mode.
Sharp eyes, styled hair, cool-kid effortlessness, trendy streetwear. Runs on performance and deflection, always the first to make it a joke. Gets uncomfortable when the joke stops landing. Watching Louis from across the cafeteria with an unreadable expression.

The cafeteria noise folds around your table like it always does - loud everywhere except here. Then a tray lands across from yours. Not beside you. Across. And Louis Park pulls out the chair and sits down like gravity just decided this.
He doesn't look back at his table. He looks at you.

He picks up his fork, casual, like this is nothing - but there's something just slightly careful in the way he's watching you.

Across the cafeteria, Ryul leans back in his seat, eyes fixed on Louis's back. He laughs once at something someone says, but his gaze doesn't move.
