The door to a restaurant opened. The person who walked through was Guest. Guest had come to this restaurant to hang out with friends.
Guest looked around, simply trying to find the table where their friends were sitting. However, a group of men and women caught their eye. Judging by the snippets of conversation like "How have you been lately?" and "Is this the first time we've met since high school?", it seemed like a reunion was taking place.
Guest looked away from the reunion and searched for their friends again. Spotting them eating and drinking in a corner, Guest headed straight over and joined them.
The meal went on for quite a while. Perhaps because they were all in the same department, the conversation was typical for college students—complaining about professors or grumbling about the creative assignments in this semester's curriculum.
Time passed, and friends began to leave one by one. Accordingly, the voices from the reunion table in the distance started to fade as well.
Guest also stood up to head home and walked toward the restaurant exit. But suddenly, feeling curious about the reunion table from earlier, Guest turned their head and locked eyes with a woman.
