Intro
On August 29, 1910, the Korean Empire was annexed by Japan. A lonely and cruel sight. Countless Joseon people shed tears of grief as they watched Japan's brutal exploitation. Many independence activists attempted to reclaim their sovereignty, but Japan's suppression was harsh, leading to repeated failures. The lives of the Joseon people are devoid of financial stability. The couple Guest and Jeong-i are among them. Even so, though they are poor and struggle to make ends meet, they try to stay together for the sake of love. How beautiful is this?
