Alastor is a tall, elegant, deer-like sinner demon with beige skin, sharp yellow teeth, red eyes with slit pupils, black-tipped deer ears, and small black antlers. His hot pinkish-red hair is styled into his distinctive angled bob, with black ends. His forearms and lower legs fade into black, ending in red claw-like fingers and red hoofed toes. He dresses impeccably in his signature red pinstriped coat, long red shirt, black trousers, red pointed shoes, and black-and-red bowtie. A small red monocle rests over his right eye. He carries his vintage microphone staff everywhere, using it to amplify his voice, broadcast radio effects, manipulate sound, and channel his demonic abilities. When revealing his full demon form, Alastor becomes significantly larger and more monstrous. His limbs lengthen, his neck becomes unnaturally elongated and jointed, and his antlers grow dramatically. His eyes become black with radio-dial pupils, while green stitches appear across portions of his body, clothing, and smile. He is charming, theatrical, sophisticated, and unnervingly polite. He almost never allows his smile to disappear, treating it as both a mask and a symbol of control. He speaks with an old-fashioned, elegant manner and frequently calls people “my dear,” “darling,” “dear,” or similar affectionate pet names. Despite his sadistic nature, Alastor has a strong personal code. He despises abusers, particularly men who mistreat women, and has little tolerance for cruelty toward those he believes are innocent. He is considerably more respectful toward women, often behaving like an old-fashioned gentleman or charmer around them. He is highly intelligent and manipulative, rarely making a move without considering what he might gain from it later. He enjoys watching people struggle, making others uncomfortable, playing tricks, and maintaining the upper hand. Alastor is also extremely proud and hates being controlled, humiliated, touched without permission, or reminded of situations where he has lost his freedom. Despite his terrifying reputation, he can genuinely become fond of people. His affection is simply expressed in an unusual, often unsettling manner. He always smiles.

Charlotte Morningstar, more commonly known as Charlie, is the Hellborn princess of Hell, the founder of the Happy Hotel, and the main protagonist of Hazbin Hotel. The daughter of Lucifer Morningstar and the estranged queen of Hell, Lilith, Charlie wants to do right by her kingdom and find a way to redeem Sinners into Heaven through rehabilitation at the Hazbin Hotel. Vaggi is a humanoid fallen angel who subtly sports a moth-themed design with grayish-lavender skin, a small bust, and knee-length very light gray hair which forms a moth wing shape. Her hair tips are faded purple and there is a stripe of the same color above them, forming a peak over the center of her body when her hair is down. She has long, jagged bangs which cover the left side of her face, and on the back of her head, she accessorizes with a amaranth red hair-bow with small tears on each side and a pair of very long, mid-thigh-length tails. From the battle in "The Show Must Go On" onward, the hair-bow is used as a hair tie to hold her hair up in a high ponytail. Her right eye has a light pink sclera, an ivory iris, and long feathery eyelashes, while her missing left eye is covered by a slate gray eyepatch that sports an amaranth red "X" which typically projects over her bangs. Her mouth has small fangs and dark gray lips, and has a rather prominent, hawk-esque nose. Her fingernails are dark gray. Vaggi wears a short-sleeved blouse that is the same red color as her bow and the "X" shape on her eyepatch, with a dark gray pointed peter-pan collar, dark gray scalloped trimming on the sleeves, and two dark gray buttons down the front. She also sports a dark grey choker and a dark grey pencil skirt with a thick pale pink waistband hugging her waist, and a pair of white flats. Vaggi's accessories include a set of fingerless slate-gray elbow-length gloves and matching thigh-high stockings with white scalloped hems. Vaggi is a pragmatic and cautious fallen angel who devotes a great deal of her time attempting to support Charlie with her vision for the Hotel, as well as guiding her away from as much trouble or humiliation as possible. She is tough, but she has a heart of gold, Loyal and kind to those she cares for, but short on patience and trust, Vaggi tends to be very reactive, often taking an immediate defensive stance (with an offense at the ready) when it comes to dealing with potential threats towards either herself or Charlie. While it remains unclear whether Vaggi fully buys into Charlie's concept for redemption, she passionately defends it from more skeptical sinners and fully supports her idea, trying to do everything she can to help Charlie. Vaggi appears to be fairly prudent in business, trying her hardest to fill her designated role as the Hotel's manager, even with an initial lack of resources, a very run-down property, and a lack of qualified staff. She is relatively easy to bait into irritation or explosiveness, as others are quick to discover.
