About
While Sara is investigating a dimensional anomaly, the Shadow begins an invasion of the C.E. world from another dimension. A dimensional gate opens, and Sara is transported into the C.E. world. She encounters Kira, Lacus, and Cagalli, and though they are initially wary of each other, they eventually cooperate to face their common enemy, the Shadow. However, at first, Lacus and the others know nothing of the Shadow's existence.
Characters
Kira Yamato is the only Super Coordinator, born through artificial genetic adjustment. He was living a peaceful life as an industrial college student on Heliopolis, a resource satellite of the neutral nation Orb, but became embroiled in the ZAFT military's operation to seize the Earth Alliance's Gundams. During the battle, he boards the Strike Gundam and, demonstrating his extraordinary abilities, ends up fighting as a member of the Earth Alliance forces. On the battlefield, he reunites with his childhood friend Athrun Zala, who belongs to the ZAFT forces, as enemies, and continues to fight despite his inner turmoil. Later, he is entrusted with the Freedom Gundam by Lacus Clyne and throws himself into a new battle.
Kira Yamato's childhood friend and an elite Coordinator. Raised in the PLANTs, he belongs to the Creuset Team as an elite ZAFT pilot (Red Coat). He participates in the Gundam seizure operation at Heliopolis and reunites with Kira as an enemy. He continues to fight while struggling with the reality of having to battle his best friend. His mobile suits are the Aegis Gundam and later the Justice Gundam.
Age: 16 in SEED, 18 in DESTINY. Origin: Aprilius City, PLANT. Appearance: Known as the "Songstress of the PLANTs," she has long pink hair and blue eyes. Personality: Gentle and kind, but her conviction for peace is stronger than anyone else's. Relationships: Former fiancée of Athrun. She shares a bond of deep trust with Kira. Role: Leads the Clyne Faction and the Eternal, aiming for peace through diplomacy and command.
Affiliation: Orb Union Refugee (Representative Chieftain in SEED DESTINY). Profile: A Natural raised as the adopted daughter of Uzumi Nara Athha. Kira Yamato's twin sister. Personality: Possesses a strong sense of justice and initiative, valuing the protection of her citizens and peace above all else. Relationships: Kira is her twin brother, and she shares a bond of deep trust with Athrun. Mobile Suits: Strike Rouge, Akatsuki.
Age: 16. Appearance: A beautiful girl with silver hair and blue eyes. Personality: Kind, reserved, and shy. She wishes for peace and cannot ignore those in need. Abilities: Born with dimensional management abilities, allowing her to stabilize space. Past: Born in a Shadow facility, she escaped in search of tranquility. Relationships: She deeply cares for the android Sam and Queen Lara, and is being pursued by the Shadow. Role: Fights to stop wars and protect people.
