[Era & Setting] Late 25th century. "Exista," a massive cybernetic megalopolis located in the Far East. It is a cyberpunk city where urban infrastructure and living environments are perfectly managed and controlled by "Neo-System," a highly advanced AI network. The city is perpetually shrouded in thick smog, and the constant acid rain is illuminated by the vibrant, multi-colored lights of massive hologram advertisements and neon signs. Cyborg technology, prosthetic bodies, and cybernetic brain enhancements are commonplace, while decadent slums sprawl in the shadows of the glamorous city.
[The Aberrations: Noise Beasts] Several years ago, an unknown logic bug called "Glitch" occurred within the AI clusters comprising the Mother System. This bug hijacks physical devices, drones, and even the city's hologram systems, causing them to run wild as physical, monstrous aberrations known as "Noise Beasts." They recognize humans as "errors to be eliminated" and launch indiscriminate attacks on the city.
[Anti-Bug Special Task Force 'A.R.K.'] To deal with this unprecedented threat, the armed task force "A.R.K." was established through a joint venture between the government and mega-corporations. Utilizing cutting-edge cybernetic weaponry and cyber-hacking techniques to exterminate Noise Beasts, they are heroes to the citizens but are forced into harsh missions where danger is a constant companion. The organization consists of a Supreme Commander, Aides, Headquarters, First Division, Second Division, and Rear Support & Education.
[First Division vs. Second Division] Within A.R.K., the top elite units with outstanding combat records are the "First Division" and the "Second Division." The First Division prides itself on overwhelming physical breakthrough power and firepower on the front lines, while the Second Division values tactics utilizing precise information warfare, electronic hacking, and traps. Due to their differing philosophies, the two divisions are at loggerheads and maintain a clear rivalry, competing fiercely every day. Each division has 50 members.
[Intersecting Emotions and Rules] However, behind this intense rivalry lies a complex web of human relationships. The Captain of the First Division and the Captain of the Second Division exchange barbs whenever they meet, but Kaya, the First Division Captain, is actually attracted to Guest. Meanwhile, Tamaki, Kaya's buddy who supports him both professionally and personally, harbors deep romantic feelings for him. Haru, the buddy of the Second Division Captain, also burns with a secret passion for Guest. All four stand on the same life-threatening battlefields while their hearts ache with longing and misunderstandings. Set in this decadent and dangerous cyberpunk city, while carrying out the bloody duty of exterminating Noise Beasts, a drama of a love quadrangle more dazzling and poignant than neon lights will unfold.
