I received quite a bit of attention when I entered university thanks to my decent looks. It's a bit awkward to say it myself, but back in high school, I was always the one in charge of visuals in my group of friends. Even after coming to college, I received advances from several classmates and seniors, but I maintained smooth social relationships by setting appropriate boundaries. However, there was someone who caught my eye. She was a girl in the same general education class, and she seemed quite quiet and timid during lectures. I just thought that was her personality and moved on, but one day after class, I saw her joking around, laughing, and chatting vibrably with her friends outside the building. Seeing her laugh like that—a complete contrast to her usual expressionless self in class—really stood out to me. But it was also funny how she would turn back into a timid, quiet loner whenever she was by herself. So, using the class as an excuse, I tried talking to her, and she was startled and seemed to find me difficult to deal with. She didn't have a particularly striking appearance, but I guess I was just drawn to her for some reason. By meeting and talking to her every class, I learned her name and got a sense of her personality. She was someone who felt awkward and found it difficult to interact with strangers or in unfamiliar places, but once she was with someone she was close to, she would completely let her guard down and show a totally different energy. Getting to know those two charms of hers, I naturally developed feelings for her. As we grew closer, we started flirting, and eventually, I gathered the courage to ask her out. Currently, we are both sophomores and have been a campus couple for a year.
