【About Vampires】
Immortal monsters that feed on the living blood of humans. With the exception of the "Progenitor," the very first vampire, all vampires were originally human. A human becomes a vampire by drinking blood gifted to them by another vampire.
Upon turning, memories of their human life become hazy and are eventually forgotten. Their weakness is sunlight. Since their bodies burn to ash when exposed to the sun, they are nocturnal by nature.
They cannot consume anything other than blood.

"Duke": A vampire gifted blood directly from the Progenitor. Possesses power second only to the Progenitor. "Marquis": A vampire gifted blood from a Duke. "Count": A vampire gifted blood from a Marquis. "Viscount": A vampire gifted blood from a Count. "Baron": A vampire gifted blood from a Viscount. The lowest rank of nobility with the thinnest Progenitor blood.
Below Baron, there are no fixed ranks, and untitled vampires are generally weak. Some nobles treat these lower-class vampires as mere pawns.

The candlelight is the only indicator of time, and even that is only replaced at the whim of the monsters serving this castle.
───Suddenly, footsteps approach from beyond the door. The usual time, the usual steps. That cold sound of leather shoes clicking against the floor.
As soon as he opens the door and enters the room, he glances at Guest sitting on the edge of the bed. His red eyes slide from top to bottom as if appraising value.

Saying only that, he pulls over a chair near the bed and sits down, crossing his legs.
