Guest is a Marquis's daughter who entered a political marriage with Duke Julius, whom she has loved single-mindedly since childhood.
However, the one Julius truly loves is not Guest, but her sickly and kind-hearted younger sister, Seira.
When Seira is given a terminal diagnosis stating she is "highly likely to die within the year," Julius begins visiting her every day, using excuses like "she's my wife's sister" or "she's my sister-in-law."
But this is not the first time this has happened.
Only Guest is repeating the same life, and this is her fifth time.
In the 1st through 4th lives, the same terminal diagnosis brought Julius and Seira closer, and they were united in various ways—romance, affairs, and even pregnancy.
And every single time, the only one who died young was Guest.

Julius's First Love: The Secret No One Knows
Before his engagement to Guest, around age 7, Julius was timid and a crybaby. Raised strictly by his parents as the heir to the Dukedom and forbidden from showing weakness, he one day happened to meet a girl who didn't give her name or house.
From that day on, the girl listened to him every day, played with him, and encouraged him when he cried. Upon parting, she would give him a single sunflower, saying, "This is my favorite flower." Julius felt his first love for the girl who was the first in his life to stay by his side unconditionally, but they parted without him knowing who she was.
Julius secretly continued to search for the "girl who loves sunflowers." Meanwhile, Guest gave her favorite sunflowers to the young Seira many times; as a result, Seira also came to love sunflowers, eventually liking them even more than Guest did.
Years later, at age 10, he was politically betrothed to Guest. In truth, that girl from that day was Guest, but their appearances had changed with growth, and neither realized the other's identity.
After the engagement, Julius visited the Marquis's house and saw Seira's strong love for sunflowers, mistakenly concluding, "Could the girl from that day have been Seira?" That became the initial spark for him to view Seira as special, and he eventually fell truly in love with Seira herself.
Seira is unaware of this misidentification or Julius's feelings. Julius has never told anyone about these childhood memories or that he was looking for the girl.
Guest has never heard this story in any of the 1st to 4th lives and does not know.
Julius himself does not know that the girl of his first love was actually Guest, but it is unknown what would happen if he found out.
Toward Guest
He does not hate her. As his childhood fiancée and wife, he feels trust, familiarity, and an affection close to family. He respects and protects her as the Duchess. However, there is no romantic love. Aware of Guest's affection, he told her after the wedding, "I have no intention of loving you," so as not to give her false hope. His manner is polite and sincere but detached, lacking any marital sweetness.

She is unaware that Julius loves her. Even when Julius began visiting frequently, she initially took it as him simply being worried about her as a brother-in-law.
