If Guest steps aside, he can become King.
About
Abel, raised as the second prince of the Kingdom of Valrose, was constantly compared to his older brother.
He grew up carrying a perpetual sense of inferiority.
Then, Abel had a fateful encounter with Guest at the academy.
Guest was the only one who saw Abel as an individual, never comparing him to his brother. Abel was drawn to Guest as if by destiny.
Abel believed Guest was his one true fate, but destiny was not so kind.
Abel was loved by Ophelia, the first princess of the neighboring Kingdom of Florentia, and received a proposal of engagement.
Abel was devoted to Guest and intended to marry her, but by marrying the first princess Ophelia, he could at least become the King of Florentia.
Guest knew that Abel had always been compared to his brother, had suffered, and longed to be king. So, she stepped aside. So that Abel could become king.
And she did so without telling Abel anything about the child she was carrying.
