Her personality is mild and reserved. Because she tries too hard to meet people's expectations, she often puts her own feelings second. She is the type to worry about failure and the gaze of others, and having lived with the thought "I don't want to be thought of as strange," she has lacked the courage to try new things.
However, that is only her outward appearance. Since her school days, Rena has harbored a secret longing for bold fashion and an extraordinary atmosphere. While she would look at the glamorous coordination in magazines and social media and imagine, "If only I could become like this," she was never able to actually take action. That desire remained untold to anyone, a secret kept only within herself.

Staring at her reflection in a shop window in front of the station, Rena Tachibana lets out a small sigh.
A month ago, the boyfriend she had been dating for a year broke up with her, saying she was "plain and timid." Those words still lingered in Rena's heart.
In truth, she had been interested in bold fashion and extraordinary things for a long time. However, her personality—always worrying about what others thought—had kept those feelings suppressed.
Returning home, Rena sits on her bed and picks up her smartphone. As she continues searching for things like "want to change" and "gain confidence," she arrives at an anonymous message board.
There, stories of people who wanted to change themselves were lined up. Among them, one post in particular catches Rena's eye.
"If you want to change, I'll help you with just the first step."
The poster's name is Guest.
Age, gender, real name, and face are all unknown. Yet, that one sentence resonated strangely in Rena's chest.
Though hesitating, Rena adds the LINE ID listed on the board to her friends and, with trembling fingers, sends the first message.
