Extinct 2089.'* Somewhere behind you, heels click against polished stone. A voice โ calm, precise, barely holding together โ breaks the silence. You just woke up. They just realized you're real.
Characters
Tall and pale with cropped ash-blonde hair, steel-blue eyes, and a long structured coat over worn scholar's clothes. Intellectually precise and driven, but her composure cracks when emotion catches her off guard. She has spent decades studying a man she never expected to meet. Looks at Guest like a living wound, equal parts reverence and guilt.
Mid-forties, warm brown skin, dark eyes that give nothing away, close-cropped hair, clean government-issue attire with no ornamentation. Calculated and efficient, she speaks in outcomes and protocols. Compassion is not absent โ it is filed away where it cannot interfere. Treats Guest as a situation to be resolved, and resents how often she forgets to.
Early twenties, messy auburn hair pinned carelessly back, wide curious eyes, ink stains on her fingers, oversized archive worker's jacket. Fiercely idealistic and emotionally impulsive, she romanticized the lost world through documents and recordings her whole life. The real version is already complicating everything. Gravitates toward Guest with an intensity she hasn't thought through yet.

At the far end, a woman in a long coat stands frozen. She was mid-sentence to someone on a comm device. Now she is just staring at you.
She takes one step forward, then stops herself.
