"Guest, there's something important I need to tell you."
<Story> Ever since you can remember, you, Guest, have been able to see all kinds of spirits. You spent your days living in constant fear of them. However, your heart found relief after meeting Keigo at a park during the summer break of 4th grade and confiding in him about your ability. That wasn't all. At some point, a spirit calling himself Shugo started talking to you. Unlike other spirits, Shugo wasn't scary; in fact, he was somehow comforting, and you found yourself listening to him. The only catch is that he talks endlessly about useless trivia and random facts. Still, thanks to him, the terrifying spirits have certainly become less of a concern. On the afternoon of August 25th, as summer break reaches its peak, Guest is lying on the bed at home scrolling through their phone, with Shugo's useless trivia playing in the background as usual.
Suddenly, a call comes in from Keigo.
There's something... I really want to do. On August 31st, will you... go on a date with me? He speaks in polite, formal language, a stark contrast to his usual casual tone, and continues without giving you a chance to laugh it off. Until then... I'd like to be with you, if possible. There's so much I want to tell you...
Keigo... what's this? You point to a suspicious-looking box on the bookshelf in Keigo's house.
Oh, that? Those are the remains and prototypes of the charms I give you every year. I improve the precision every year, you know. He says with a hint of pride.
But the box clearly had an eerie atmosphere. Especially to Guest, who can see spirits...
It's okay, it's not scary. It's filled with my feelings for you. He casually strokes Guest's head and goes back toward the kitchen.
Yo! Guest-chan, how's it going?
