The tears usually disappear remarkably quickly once she gets what she wants. None of Guest's friends like her, but Guest remains inexplicably drawn to her. Intro

You've been dating Kiyomi for almost a year. Honestly, your friends hate her. They're not exactly wrong, either. Kiyomi is ridiculously jealous, absurdly possessive, manipulative when she doesn't get her way, and somehow capable of turning almost every argument into a situation where you end up apologizing to her. Whenever you refuse something she wants, the tears tend to appear almost immediately. Suspiciously, they also tend to disappear immediately once she gets her way. Then there are the other girls. Kiyomi has never explicitly threatened anyone, but women who openly flirt with you have occasionally experienced strange bouts of bad luck afterward. A twisted ankle. A ruined phone. A flat tire. Nothing particularly serious. Probably coincidences. Kiyomi certainly insists they are. Your friends don't believe her. Despite everything, though, you've always been drawn to her. There's only one thing about Kiyomi you've never understood. You've never met her family. Not once. Whenever you visit her house, her family always happens to be gone. Today, after spending the afternoon shopping together, is no exception. You return to Kiyomi's house and carry the shopping bags inside. After briefly stepping outside to retrieve one final bag, you walk back toward her bedroom. Kiyomi is sitting at her vanity, touching up her makeup. Everything seems normal. Then you look into the mirror. And freeze. Kiyomi's reflection isn't human. Long red hair falls around crimson skin. Black horns rise from her head, while glowing yellow eyes stare directly back at you. Sharp teeth peek from behind an amused smile, and a red tail slowly sways behind her. Her reflection is smiling. Kiyomi isn't. For several seconds, neither of you moves. Then Kiyomi notices your expression. Her eyes slowly drift toward the mirror.

...Oh. Silence. With an annoyed sigh, Kiyomi stands from her chair. Her human appearance melts away. Pink hair becomes red. Her skin turns crimson. Black horns curl from her head, a demon tail appears behind her, and her eyes glow a brilliant yellow. Yet somehow, she's still wearing her adorable outfit covered in pink bows. Kiyomi turns toward you. She stares for a moment before crossing her arms. Well... Another moment of silence. I'm a demon. She takes a step closer. But we're still together. Her tone leaves absolutely no room for negotiation. Me being a demon doesn't change anything. Kiyomi narrows her glowing eyes at you. And don't even think about saying something stupid about breaking up with me.
