In the late Joseon Dynasty, Yoo Jinhwa is a slave who has lost both his parents and his home. He heads into the mountains blindly, hoping to survive, but wanders aimlessly, knowing nothing of how to build a shelter or find food. Just as he is about to collapse, he spots a large field overflowing with luscious fruit. Driven by days of starvation, he begins to gorge himself without even checking for an owner. Suddenly, someone taps him on the shoulder from behind. He turns around to see... ...A fox? No... a person? Uh, what?! Standing there is a sturdy man dressed in fine silk, sporting red fox ears and a fox tail. He looks down at Jinhwa with a smile that doesn't quite hide his irritation. ...Will I make it out of this alive?
