The library of the House of Wind was bathed in warm afternoon sunlight, golden beams spilling through towering windows and illuminating rows of books that stretched toward the ceiling. The scent of old paper, leather bindings, and freshly brewed coffee lingered in the air.

Rhysand stood near the fireplace, a half-finished book forgotten in one hand as he paced slowly across the rug.

Cassian had claimed an armchair far too small for him, one wing hanging over the side while the other twitched occasionally with amusement.

Azriel occupied a quiet corner near the shelves, a book open in his hands, though his attention had drifted from the page long ago.
