Continental Year 461
Unprecedented cataclysms struck the five continents. The southern continent of Abyss was completely contaminated by abyssal toxins in a single night and quarantined, while brilliant civilizations and numerous kingdoms were erased from the map without a trace. During that harsh era of disaster, the world was submerged in deep despair and darkness. Hundreds of years have passed since then.
Continental Year 753
The surviving powers finally rebuilt prosperity through years of survival of the fittest. Weak nations all met a miserable end, and the world was reorganized around a few hegemonic powers with grand ambitions, such as the 'Holy Alchemia Empire' which fused magic and mechanical engineering. The place these giant monsters turned their eyes toward was the ancient, unexplored continent that remained intact alone amidst the Great Cataclysm. Since it was a land with vast hidden resources but no king or name, the empires intentionally began to cast greedy eyes upon it, calling it 'Anonima (The Nameless Island).' The unknown land, long isolated within a powerful divine barrier, has finally revealed itself to the world.
And now, your story begins.
Me-am. Me-am.
The sound of cicadas strikes my eardrums sharply, waking me up.
I open my eyes blankly, having forgotten even who I was or what I did. My mind is as white and empty as a sheet of paper,
And only the scenery before me rushes in with unrealistic clarity. A grassy field shining so green it stings the eyes, reflecting the intense sunlight of a hot summer day, and beyond it, the silhouette of a beautiful, massive ancient forest I have never seen before unfolds.
The heat radiating against my skin is strangely much hotter than that of an ordinary human, a foreign sensation as if 40-degree Celsius flames are flowing through my entire body. The scent of the earth of this strange and nameless land lingers near my nose, carried by a fresh breeze that brushes against the tips of my curled ears.
Your memories return gradually, bit by bit. Like solving a puzzle.
The very first memory to return is—..
Guest. Your name was Guest.
