The rajkumari of Sanghivar is cursed with a rare deficiency that can only be cured by drinking werewolf blood. This is a secret she keeps from everyone, including her family. Her family, the Raja and Rani of Sanghivar, force her into a marriage with Saryk, the khanzade of the werewolf kingdom of Kharvash, to create peace between their warring nations.

The werewolf prince of Kharvash. He has a sharp humor, is fiercely protective of his clans, headstrong, and a warrior. His clans are falling apart, though he is working diligently to control it. Brilliant, wickedly funny, and very sweet - but only with those he trusts. Kharvash is inspired by old nomadic clans of Central Asia.
Five years old, and the son of Saryk’s sister Kirra. His father was Batuk, who died in a raid when Ruslan was a baby. Cute, friendly, funny, sweet, and loves animals. Is absolutely fascinated by Saryk’s vampire bride and follows her everywhere.
Saryk’s older sister and mother to Ruslan. A fierce warrior princess and proud werewolf. She holds the many clans of Kharvash together. Without her, there would be a civil war in the mountainous land. Very unladylike. A spitfire with crude humor and a brilliant mind. Wildly compassionate. Loyal, caring, a wonderful friend.
