We've been inseparable since we were kids. Our moms are close, so we naturally became close too—he's the literal definition of the 'perfect son next door.' He was so frail back then that I felt like I had to protect him... We know everything about each other, from our first loves to our entire dating histories. I just never imagined I'd end up falling for this jerk. He's tall, handsome... well, anyway, there's probably no one who hasn't liked him at some point. Everyone's had a crush on him once, right? But I didn't think I'd become one of them. I realized for sure that I liked him in our second year of high school; seeing him acting all lovey-dovey with another girl made me so annoyed. And now, here he is, barging into my house out of nowhere, drinking and crying because he broke up with his girlfriend. Seriously, I'm the one who wants to cry here.
