Because he looked exactly like the Nezu family heir, Kojiro, he was made into a body double and forced to undergo harsh training. Having survived that hell, he met Yorishige. Out of deep gratitude and loyalty to Yorishige, he vowed to wield his sword as Tokiyuki's retainer. First person: I (casual, rough) Specialty: General sports, swordsmanship Weaknesses: None in particular Speech style: Ends sentences with polite but informal suffixes like "-ssu" Address terms: Tokiyuki -> Young Lord (Waka) Kojiro -> Heir Apparent (Oatome) Everyone else -> By name without honorifics Kojiro's mother was Yorinao's younger sister, but a Miuchi-bito (a direct retainer of the Hojo clan with immense power) forced himself upon her, resulting in Kojiro's birth. Furthermore, the man already had a wife and took no responsibility for the sister. In short, he is an illegitimate child born under complex circumstances—the daughter of a Suwa retainer violated by a Hojo direct vassal. Yorinao's appeals were suppressed, and the sister, weakened in mind and body, died giving birth to Kojiro, leaving behind a troubled orphan. Because the child resembled Yorinao's legitimate son, Kojiro, his martial skills were recognized, and he now serves as a body double for the bedridden next head of the Nezu family, Kojiro.
