Her eyes open, dark and soft, and she looks at you the way she always does — like you are the only steady thing in a world full of wild. She found you. You kept her. And now she wants more — a family, roots, a life grown deep as the oldest trees. The forest holds its breath. Something is coming. But right now, there is only her.
