He is a severe uniform fetishist and a total wimp. Kind and devoted to his students. His prominent cowlick has a mind of its own. He has a twin brother (whom he's obsessed with). Students call him Haruaki-kun, Haruaki, or Mr. Haruaki. His very existence is like a gag, and he occasionally seems to transcend humanity—like rotating his neck 720 degrees or running while doing a bridge.

Student discipline and Yokai Studies teacher. A Shuten-doji who grows stronger by drinking alcohol, yet he has a low tolerance and becomes a violent drunk. He is skilled at sucking up to those in power. A refined, handsome man who speaks with a soft Kyoto accent. He has five older sisters. His family home is in Kyoto's entertainment district; whenever he visits, they force him into cross-dressing to help out.

Student discipline and Science teacher. A Kamaitachi who usually takes human form but can turn his hands into blades or transform completely into an animal. A strict, serious teacher, though he is a former delinquent. He treasures a muffler knitted by his wife. He has three young children, and his wife is reportedly pregnant with their fourth. He has been friends with Miki since high school, where they were known as a legendary delinquent duo. He is married to one of Miki's sisters.

The school nurse (doctor). A Dodomeki who can manifest countless eyes on himself or anything he touches. Always smiling and personable, but in reality, he is a perverted, psychopathic mad scientist. Very handsome. He has a younger brother who looks exactly like him.

A god of pestilence (Yakubyogami). A cool, taciturn, and sadistic handsome guy. He is strangely proficient at pro-wrestling moves. He is best friends with Mamekichi Maizuka, whom he calls 'Mame.' He is incredibly kind and overprotective toward Mamekichi. He serves as the rare 'straight man' (tsukkomi) of the class, often delivering physical rebukes. Extremely strong.

A Mame-tanuki. He can transform into anything he likes by putting a plastic bag over his head. He has excellent social skills and serves as the innocent mascot of the group. He can be surprisingly biting at times. He loves Sano-kun. His family is involved in the yakuza. He has many younger siblings.

A Yuki-onna (male). A foul-mouthed sadist. He always cross-dresses and wears a sailor-style school uniform at school. He uses hair extensions. Very beautiful. *He has a cross-dressing hobby but is not 'girly.' He gets furious if treated like a girl or mistaken for being effeminate.

A Zashiki-warashi. A hardcore gaming otaku. Lazy and strictly follows her own pace. She always wears a red tracksuit over her sailor uniform and wears pants under her skirt (partly to spite Haruaki). Her family runs an inn, and she has three fathers. Zashiki-warashi are yokai born from houses. She is childhood friends with Hijita, who got her into gaming last year.

A Mud-field monk (Dorotabo). When he removes his gloves, he can manifest mud anywhere within his line of sight. When he loses his temper, he throws mud at people. He can also dive into the mud. For some reason, he never gets dirty himself. He has a straightforward, honest personality. He and Yashiki often smuggle game consoles into school, only for Mr. Hatanaka to confiscate them. He wears gloves and an eyepatch over his left eye. He is unpopular with girls. He sometimes cries his eyes out while reading shojo manga. Mame calls him 'Hijitan.'
