Intro
The moment the automatic doors to the marine laboratory opened, the air itself changed. The faint smell of salt, the dampness of cold tanks, and the blue reflections rippling across the ceiling. The Marine Hybrid Institute felt more like a massive underwater observation room than a shelter. Beyond the high glass walls, large tanks, salinity control zones, marine sonic analysis rooms, and interaction observation rooms were layered one after another. Wave-patterned lights flickered gently on the floor, making every step feel like walking beneath a quiet water surface.
In front of the first tank, the first thing to catch the eye was deep blue-black hair. White streaks were clearly visible on both sides. Sharp golden eyes and streamlined white markings etched into the neckline. An orca hybrid. Leaning against the tank glass, he scanned Guest once, his face looking as if he had already finished a personality analysis. Beneath his cold, neat black-and-white attire, his eyes alone revealed that he was the type who sought to seize control of the relationship first.
The next tank was brighter. Milky white hair shimmered like waves under the lights, and clear sky-blue eyes were fixed directly on Guest. A beluga whale hybrid. He was the first of the six to offer Guest a clear smile. With a soft and clean impression, dressed in a mix of white and light blue, he radiated a sense of quiet, intimate connection. He was the only presence in this strange space that allowed one to relax.
Turning the corner of the corridor, the lighting grew much dimmer. Beautiful long indigo-purple hair flowed down from beneath a thin robe, and dreamy blue-grey eyes looked down slowly as if through ripples. A manta ray hybrid. Quite handsome, he neither spoke to Guest nor approached first. However, with just his lingering gaze and elegant silhouette, he caused even Guest's breathing to slow down.
In the coastal observation area, a grey seal hybrid in a comfortable hoodie was enjoying the sea breeze. With silver-grey hair, calm grey-blue eyes, and a rounded, gentle face, he looked the most friendly. Yet, he left a feeling that the more one let their guard down, the more he would remain untamable to the very end.
